This state-of-the-art facility will have the technology and equipment essential to properly care for, protect, and preserve the Autry’s important cultural assets, including more than 500,000 artifacts and library materials—among them those from the Southwest Museum of the American Indian and Braun Research Library Collections.
Participants will receive a behind-the-scenes tour of the reading room, ceremonial garden, conservation labs, collection storage, and research areas. The tour will be led by the following Autry staff members:
-
LaLena H. Lewark, Senior Director, Collections and Conservation
-
Karimah O.K. Richardson, Associate Curator of Archaeology and Osteology
-
Lylliam Posadas, Repatriation and Community Research Manager
-
Liza Posas, Head, Research Services and Archives
The number of participants is limited due to space constraints.
NOTE: Large purses, bags, and food are not permitted in some sections of the tour, so please plan to leave these belongings in your vehicles.
