Oversight Hearing on TLOA One Year Later: Have We Improved Public Safety and Justice Throughout Indian Country?
ILOC Chairman Troy A. Eid and Commissioner Theresa M. Pouley provided testimony at the U.S. Senate Committee on Indian Affairs oversight hearing on the Tribal Law and Order Act. Commission members, along with Associate Attorney General Tom Perrelli and representatives from the DOI, DOJ, SAMHSA, IHS, NCAI, and Joint Business Council of the Shoshone and Arapaho Tribes of the Wind River Indian Reservation, provided updates on implementation progress and steps for the future.
